Cookies policy

This Cookies Policy sets out the rules for the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website available at podlogijanas.pl (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

The administrator of the Service and the entity placing cookies on the User’s end device is JANAS sp. z o.o., ul. Dworska 4, 38-516 Czaszyn (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on the User’s end device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) while using the Service. Cookies allow, among other things, recognition of the User’s device and proper display of the website, tailored to the User’s individual preferences.

2. What types of cookies do we use?

The following types of cookies may be used on the Service:

2.1. Necessary cookies

  • are essential for the proper functioning of the Service;
  • ensure correct display of the website and its security;
  • may be used to maintain the User’s session after logging in, so that it is not necessary to re-enter data on each subpage of the Service.

2.2. Analytical and statistical cookies

The Service uses analytical tools that may use cookies, in particular:

  • Google Analytics (Google Inc., headquartered in the USA) – for the purpose of collecting anonymous statistics on visits to the Service, analyzing how the Service is used, and improving its functionality. The Operator does not provide Google with data enabling direct identification of the User; only anonymized information is processed (e.g. shortened IP address, device data, time spent on the Service).

2.3. Marketing and remarketing cookies

The Service may use cookies for marketing purposes, in particular to display tailored advertising content to Users, also on other websites. For this purpose, the following technologies may be used:

  • Google Ads / Google advertising network – to tailor advertising content to the User’s behavior on the Service (remarketing). Data is processed in an anonymized manner; the Operator does not provide personal data enabling direct identification of the User.
  • Facebook Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland / Facebook Inc.) – for remarketing activities and measuring the effectiveness of advertisements. Thanks to this, Facebook may associate a visit to the Service with the User’s account if the User is logged into Facebook. The Operator does not provide Facebook with additional personal data beyond those independently processed by this entity.

3. Cookie storage period

The Service uses:

  • session cookies – stored on the User’s device until the browser session ends (logout, leaving the website, or closing the browser);
  • persistent cookies – stored on the User’s device for the period specified in the parameters of a given cookie or until they are deleted by the User.

4. Legal basis for the use of cookies

  • in the case of cookies necessary for the operation of the Service – the legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Operator consisting in ensuring the proper functioning of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • in the case of analytical and marketing cookies – the legal basis is the User’s consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed via an appropriate message (cookies banner) during the first visit to the Service.

5. Managing cookies and changing consent

The User may independently manage cookie settings and grant or withdraw consent to their use:

  • Via web browser settings – most browsers allow cookies by default. The User may change these settings, in particular:
    • block automatic handling of cookies;
    • request notification each time a cookie is saved on the device;
    • delete existing cookies.
  • Via the cookies consent banner / panel (if available on the Service) – the User may change their preferences regarding cookie categories or withdraw consent at any time.

Detailed information on managing cookies is available in the documentation of the relevant web browser (Help section), for example:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Opera

Restricting the use of cookies (especially necessary cookies) may affect certain functionalities of the Service and, in extreme cases, may prevent its use.

6. Third-party cookies

Cookies stored on the User’s device may come both from the Operator and from cooperating third parties, in particular:

  • Google (Google Inc. / Google Ireland Ltd.);
  • Meta/Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland / Facebook Inc.);
  • other entities providing analytical and marketing services to the Operator.

It is recommended to review the privacy policies and cookies policies of these entities available on their official websites.

7. Cookies and personal data

Information collected via cookies may, in some cases, constitute personal data. Detailed information on the processing of personal data of Service Users, including their rights, is provided in the Privacy Policy available on the Service.

8. Changes to the Cookies Policy

The Operator reserves the right to make changes to this Cookies Policy, in particular in the event of changes in applicable law, technologies used on the Service, or the manner in which the Service operates. The current version of the Policy is always available on the Service website.
