A wooden floor loses its shine over time – scratches and wear appear. That is why it should be refreshed and protected from time to time. The best way to do this is parquet sanding. This process allows even heavily worn floors to regain their former beauty.
Parquet sanding – what does it involve?
Sanding
Sanding is undoubtedly the most popular method of wooden floor renovation. It involves machine sanding of the top layer of the floor. During this process, all scratches, dents and dirt are removed. Sometimes it is also necessary to replace individual parquet blocks.
Varnishing or oiling
Oiling or varnishing protects the floor against damage (biodegradation, drying out and moisture penetration). Oiling enhances the appearance of the floor, evens out and darkens the color, and masks discoloration. An oiled or varnished surface has a subtle sheen, giving the entire floor elegance and character.
